Born in 1969 near Berlin, Germany, Katrin has obtained university degrees in German and English studies, as well as degrees in graphic design and photography. After having worked for Berlin portrait studios for several years she became a freelancer in 2000. Being interested in people, their places, their ways of life, their happiness and their struggles Katrin does her best in portraying actors and accountants, writers and weavers. She loves doing photo journalism as well as high-end studio photography.

Katrin spent several years in Spanish speaking countries, mostly in Central and South America and is fluent in German, English and Spanish. She lived in Chile, Cuba but also in Spain and on the Canary Islands - and visited London a hundred times. Currently she's residing in Guatemala, Central America.
